Biography:

Roland Perreault, PT, DPT, MBA, ATC is a physical therapist and rehab leader presently supervising outpatient rehab services at the Nayden Rehabilitation Clinic at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, an extension of the outpatient services for UConn Health. He received his BS in Physical Therapy and also achieved his certification as an Athletic Trainer, while at the University of Connecticut in 1982. Later, he earned his MA in Exercise Physiology from UConn in 1989. As a former private practice owner, he has mentored a number of physical therapists including a strong team he built in that particular business. More recently, he was part of the rehab leadership team at Yale New Haven Hospital as an outpatient rehab manager for multiple sites. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association for over 40 years and served in Chapter and National leadership positions for the profession including six years as CT Chapter President and four years as Chief Delegate. Nationally, he presently serves as the Publications Chairperson for the Academy of Leadership and Innovation of the APTA and is a member of their Nominating Committee. He is also active with the LAMP Leadership education group providing continuing education programs for health professionals. He was the first recipient of the Joseph Smey Excellence in Physical Therapy Award from the University of Connecticut, which was designed to recognize superior professional contributions from alumni of the UConn Physical Therapy Program. His family was a founder of the Smey Scholarship providing support to UConn DPT students. He lives in Harwinton with his wife Donna and is very proud of their two UConn graduates, Matthew and Rebecca. At home, he is actively involved in town governance as a member of the Planning Commission and he is currently President of the Lions Club of Harwinton and Vice President of the Lions Low Vision Center Board of Directors for CT. He also has been President of the CAHNRA Alumni Board for several years.
